Full Moon August 2010
Green Corn Moon
Aug 24th, 2010
01*26 Pisces
01:05PM EDT
The August Full Moon in early Pisces/Moon – Virgo/Sun imparts an atmosphere of innocent idealism and purity of method or practice. A sextile to Pluto in Capricorn gives some energy to the forming of new traditions. The Moon will conjunct Uranus at 29 Degrees of Pisces, perhaps giving us the strength to release those ‘lost causes’ we have championed and move forward with the new.

Full Moon July 25th, 2010 - Thunder Moon
Full Thunder Moon
July 25th, 2010
02*59 Aquarius
09:36PM EDT
Balance, flash points and creativity are themes to consider with July’s Full Thunder Moon. We have a rich canvas to choose from with our individual experiences of a cardinal T-square, mystic rectangle and Sun Moon opposition. Saturn, which is exalted in Libra, opposes Jupiter and Uranus in fiery Aries providing choices in harmony and structure for our most creative and rebellious energies. Pluto, in square aspect, provides opportunity for creating deep and far reaching changes. The Sun in generous and affectionate Leo, balances the cool appraisal of Moon in Aquarius – providing a connection in our lives between the abstract and the actual in our relationships with others. Lots of excitement!

Full Moon June 26, 2010 – Disasters

Full Moon June 26, 2010
Full Moon and Lunar Eclipse:
June 26th, 2010
04*46 Capricorn
07:30 AM EDT
This month’s Full Moon and Lunar Eclipse has a deep and somber message as it conjuncts Pluto – bringing to light bedrock changes we must face. The Full Moon at 4 degrees of Capricorn is also in opposition to Mercury at 2 degrees of Cancer which indicates we have an opportunity to evaluate information that has been hidden which will show us ways in which we can heal. The Moon goes on to trine, first Mars, then Saturn – providing an opportunity to focus energy and structured plans to strengthen our families, homes and inner security.

Full Flower Moon in Sagittarius
The Full Moon in free-wheeling, expansive, trail-blazing, fiery Sagittarius has a unique consort in 2010. Uranus has just entered cardinal, initiating, change-bringing Aries! We should also focus on leaving the misty, watery Piscean realms. Envision a luminous sunrise – filled with optimism, and open to positive change. Meditate on a community of others who share in the desire for connections, and in creating changes for a positive future. We will now have more faith than fear going forward. Look within for leadership qualities, and share your own unique creativity with family, community and groups. We have a vision of the future – and how we can contribute our energy toward its manifestation.

Full Moon May 27th, 2010 – Gulf Oil Spill

Full Moon May 27th, 2010 - Gulf Oil Spill
Here is a chart of the Full Moon, May 27th 2010 at 7:07 pm edt – from easternmost point in the USA.
Okay, this is my interpretation of these energies…
..and at this point – it is also an invocation and a blessing for the earth and for all creatures upon it.
Success in the Gulf…
My reasoning (?) is this:
The fixed signs on the horizon of the chart shows determination – not obstruction – in this chart.
The planets involved in aspects here are in mutable signs (adaptability, adjustment, accommodation, method) and events will respond to this flow.
The Saturn/Jupiter opposition indicates forces in balance as well.
The Sun/Moon – will to being, action/reaction – also in mutable signs.
And, lastly- the planet of the unexpected, Uranus, entering the cardinal initiating sign of Aries (and in the foundational 4th house of this chart) – indicates a new era of brilliance, innovation and revolution moving forward. We may see some new ‘heroes’ emerging here…
There will be some setbacks (readjustments) in how this Oil Disaster is being handled – with the Moon (indicative of process) first squaring Saturn (holding back), then finally squaring Jupiter (excess). There is also a sextile (helping aspect) to Neptune (ruler of the Seas) – in there.
There are no hard aspects to malifics…
Or, and to begin the process of the perfecting of the full moon – the moon first trined the planet Uranus…an assist with flow, process…
That is my interpretation, and benediction. May the Goddess be with us!
*note:
The good news is…Pluto is not involved in any aspects here. (Yes, Uranus is now in out-of-sign square, but will not advance in Aries to that square with Pluto until 2011) Ceres (disasters) is messing about with Pluto, but we already knew that.
As far as the Saturn/Uranus oppo – we’ve also been dealing with that for a long while. As Uranus makes a move to the new sign, it will usher in new energies. Oppositions also have the flavor of enlightenment and adjustment. We are overdue for much of that.

Gulf Oil Spill Disaster

Gulf Oil Spill Disaster
The Deepwater Horizon Explosion of April 20th, 2010 – 10 pm CDT occurred at a time of conjunction of the asteroid Ceres (4* Capricorn) with Pluto (5* Capricorn). Pluto is involved with transformation at deep levels and Capricorn, an earth sign, shows the involvement with earth, the government and other public agencies. Ceres is often connected with fateful disasters. This catastrophe also occurred during a retro-grade Mercury, indicating the facts regarding this explosion and what is currently happening deep below the seas in not yet fully known. Information is confusing and may be withheld. The planet Uranus, indicating sudden events, has now moved to 29* Pisces – a degree of tragedy and sorrow. We will probably learn more about what is happening when Mercury goes direct in motion on May 12th. Uranus will enter Aries on May 28th – and we may see a shocking new aspect to this disaster, or a creative solution arising on how to deal with it.

Full Pink Moon in Scorpio
Full Pink Moon
April 28th, 2010
08*06 Scorpio
08:18 AM EDT
The independent, psychic and secretive cat! An apt symbol for Moon in Scorpio.
Feelings? Yep, we’ve got them. And a good time to take the world of feeling into account. This month’s full moon in Scorpio is opposite, not only the Sun, but a retro-grade Mercury in the practical sign of Taurus. Rational thought and will power will not get us where we need to be over the next few days. Take some time to re-align your inner compass and silence the chatter. Observe and refine your feelings, and act on hunches. Your psychic sense will be sharpened under the influence of the Full Moon in Scorpio.

Full Crow Moon
March 29th, 2010
09*16 Libra
10:25 PM EDT
First Full Moon following the Spring Equinox this year is a sassy full crow moon! Busy! Practical. Focused. Communal. Communicative.
Time and energy for starting and following through on projects in communities and on the home front. Put yourself and your group first. Tend your home fires and your gardens. Go out and about in your communities, greet your neighbors, mend fences.
Be a little bolder in your relationships, but be prepared to give as much as you expect to receive. At the end of the day, bask in the warmth of your own hearth and meditate on your heritage and traditions. From this center, you can later expand out into the wider world.

Spring Equinox 2010

Spring Equinox 2010
Here comes the Sun!
At last! Some planets in Fire signs! Sun entered Aries Saturday, March 20th at 1:32 pm EDT – the vernal/spring equinox – in trine aspect to the planet Mars at 0* degrees Leo rising. The planets Venus and Mercury are also in the sign of Aries. This is a lot more planets in Fire signs than we have had in a while. Some warmth and creativity flowing into our bodies and minds. Activity replaces hibernation. Outgoing thoughts replace inner stagnation. Creative assertion replaces reaction and stalemate.
Leo rising just above the horizon in the Equinox Chart, from the 12th house, in trine aspect with the Sun – will serve to bring secret, behind the scenes activities out into the light. Energies from hidden enemies and self-undoing tendencies will be revealed, and the battles we choose to deal with will be easier to identify. No more shadow boxing in the closet!
The planetoid Chiron, the healer, conjunct the US Moon (28* Aquarius) with Neptune – and assisted by the motivating pressure of a square from the transiting Moon in Taurus, helps bring form and realism to ideas. The Equinox Moon at 26 degrees Taurus also forms an exact sextile to the planet of change, Uranus at 26 degrees Pisces – and brings a practicality that facilitates change and emotional balance from its placement in Taurus, the sign of its exaltation.
The Equinox Sun at 0 degrees Aries begins our new cycle of growth in opposition to Saturn at 1 degree of Libra. Creative energies will more closely align in partnerships and alliances, as unworkable relationships and compromises will be exposed.
Pluto, of deep cycle changes, at 5 degrees Capricorn forms up with the Sun and Saturn in a cardinal T-square with a release point in the 12th house of the equinox chart. This will bring pressure to end behaviors and relationships which have been interfering with new growth and moving on.
Venus in Aries at the mid-heaven will inspire many of us to move forward with independence and creativity in new directions, especially in career activities and public roles. Leaving behind an attitude of group think and spreading our wings should be a refreshing change.

Chile Earthquake Feb 27, 2010

Magnitude 8.8 Quake - Offshore Maule, Chile
Here is a chart cast for the recent 8.8 magnitude earthquake off the Maule Region, Chile. The most striking aspect is the Mid-heaven conjunction by exact degree with a retrograde Saturn at 3 degrees Libra.
The subterranean planet Pluto in the earth sign of Capricorn lies in the 12th House of matters hidden and of events moving toward the ending of cycles – in square aspect (tension) with Saturn at the Mid-heaven.
Other indications of the timing of this event is the Moon at 18 degrees Leo moving into exact fateful inconjunct aspect (150 degrees) with the earth sign Capricorn rising at 18 degrees indicating ‘adjustment’ – (with the slippage of the tectonic plates). Mars in the angles of the chart – here in the 7th House – indicates action which manifests in the physical world.
Given the violence and magnitude of the quake, it is a blessing more lives were not lost and more substantial damage sustained. The line-up of planets in Aquarius through Pisces, including the Sun and beneficent Jupiter in sextile aspect to Pluto, provided some mitigating forces to contain the scope of this disaster.
