This month’s Full Moon in 27 degrees of Libra is conjunct Saturn and close to Spica – the next brightest object in the nighttime sky. Serious emotional issues and nostaglia to the forefront. Emotional issues will need to be resolved before we can move ahead. Acknowledge grief and deep feelings of loss and be willing to be empty for a time. Peace and Love and a way ahead will return.

This month’s Full Moon in 28 degrees of Virgo finds itself below the horizon (moonrise at the easternmost point in the US) with Saturn and Pluto. We find ourselves involved with issues of seriousness and potentially dire consequences. The Virgo full moon is also reflecting the Sun at 28 degrees of watery Pisces where Mars is transiting. This placement in a water sign for Sun and Mars weakens the fire element – creativity and action. We are concerned with the details of very trying and ponderous situations, without a clear pathway for action and decisions. Uranus has just entered Aries, with the explosive situations we have experienced around the globe. This unsettling mood will change as the Sun moves ahead into Aries to conjunct Uranus, then Jupiter and Mercury.

The ‘lesser’ and ‘greater’ ‘benefics’ – Venus and Jupiter set the stage for November’s Full Moon at 29 degrees Taurus – as these planets went direct in motion on November 19th, 2010. Expect beneficial ‘improvements’ in many areas – depending where these Planets fall in your individual chart. Generally, how we present ourselves, and financial situations should improve. This influence comes at a good time, as the full moon is aligned at 29 degrees of the signs of Taurus/Scorpio – fixed signs representing the ‘immovable’ and ‘intensity’ – and an ‘end of one’s rope’ feeling. There has been little give in standoffs – and this involves communications, or lack thereof – as well as a harshness and unwillingness to negotiate extreme positions and attitudes. We should experience an easing of tensions, and a giving way to more accommodation and recognition of shared risks and goals.
The conjunction of Neptune and Chiron in Aquarius – conjunct the US Moon – which has been ongoing over several months – continues to confound our perceptions of how actions and attitudes in the public arena can cause us harm, or enlighten pathways toward the healing of the individual – in light of how the public domain and actions by others continue to effect our individual selves. The close alignment of Mars with Mercury in Sagittarius should help to bring more clarity and effective actions – as well as bolster faltering optimism. Expect an easing of confrontation and stalemate as we move through this month.

The Harvest Moon was early this year, and now we move to the Full Hunter’s Moon at 29 degrees Aries/opposing Sun at 29 degrees Libra. A chilling effect on relationships and the end of a cycle of reckless, indifferent ‘will to independence’ at all costs. Many are feeling wounded and ‘out of relationship’ with others. As the Sun moves into Scorpio, we will retreat to gather our strength and re-affirm our core values and being. As we begin a new cycle, we may all benefit from an evaluation of relationships in our lives, both public and private – and how we should assign value to them in going forward.
Key concepts: Re-alignment with our core strengths, and re-evaluating the importance of healthy, life affirming relationships in our lives. If our focus has been on winning at all costs, we might find this a lonely time. If we value our connections with others, we will find our inner resources replenished. Introspection, with Mercury in close aspect to the Sun, is difficult. With Venus, ruler of Libra at the end of the Libran cycle, retrograde in Scorpio – our way through and to the insights we need must follow the path of the refinement of feelings and emotions.

The Fall Equinox represents a balance point – a turning point in the equal expression of day and night, light and darkness – a pause as darkness, or a resting phase, begins to increase.
