Astrology of Election Day 2008 - Rock My World!

Decided to do an analysis of the USA Election 2008 a couple weeks ago, without realizing what a complex situation awaited! After hours of research and thought, and pages and pages of notes, decided to post here, a summation of my conclusions, rather than a detailed astrological analysis. I will include a copy here of the 'chart' I am working from, as well as some of the astrological particulars. However, I would like to point out that this journey has gone from the mundane to the truly universal and mystic!

First, I will state, that the 'votes' are there for Obama, and I expect he will 'win' by a landslide of popular and hopefully, electoral votes. I say 'hopefully' here, because we are well aware of the 'irregularities' of the Elections of 2000 and 2004.

My opinion for the Obama win is based (well, certainly on the trends in the polls) but more significantly in an astrological sense - on the fact of his having a prominent planet (Saturn at 25*20 Capricorn) conjunct the US Pluto at 28* Capricorn, natal Uranus at 25* Leo opposite the US Moon, as well as the Moon's Nodal Axis at 27* Leo/Aquarius, conjunct the US Moon at 27* Aquarius. Most, if not all, US Presidents have these cross aspects with the US Chart. John McCain has* Pluto at 28* Cancer, opposed to the US Pluto, but no major aspects with connections to the US Chart (Sibley Chart which is the standard used by most astrologers)

*Need to take a break, and rearrange my 'notes'. To be continued...

I will also leave you with the Chart for the US Elections 2008 which I have cast for the time and place the first votes will be taken and recorded - Dixville Notch, New Hampshire, at just after midnight on November 4th, 2008. I will also explain my reasoning for using this chart as opposed to a chart cast for Washington DC at Noon on election day.

Stressful aspects on Election Day:

Saturn/Uranus opposition, building over several months, becomes exact on election day. This opposition aspect between Saturn and Uranus occurs every 45 years, and last occurred during 1965-1967. This is a major portent of potential disruptive change.

Saturn 18*58 Virgo/ Uranus 18*58 Pisces in opposition - and actually in a T-Square with Venus 19*52 Sagittarius which adds another stress point.

Saturn represents the status quo, established structures, conservatism - and Uranus, explosive release of tension, change, disruption and breaking away from established structures and the status quo.

Venus is square each planet, completing the T-Square which exerts even more pressure on this opposition effect. Astrologers anticipate major change/disruption, perhaps becoming alarming or ominous.

Moon Void of Course and in Capricorn (sign of its detriment) throughout most of the day - and changing signs into Aquarius an hour before polls close in the eastern US.

The planet Mercury changing signs - from 29* Libra to Scorpio early in the day. (Mercury was stationary retrograde and afflicted in the Election Chart for 2000).

Some possible scenarios discussed*:

No Election will be held.

Vanishing Candidates, with the possible emergence of a dark horse candidate.

Fraud, Lies and a Stolen Election.

*not by astrologers, but expressed as concerns on the internet and out there in group consciousness.

These are some of the stressful aspects which are of concern to astrologers for Election Day 2008.

(more to come, and a different perspective)
